Night Pulse

NachtPulse is een Nijmeegs fonds dat het nachtleven stimuleert. Wil je vernieuwende concepten uitproberen, ruimte geven aan nieuw talent of de nacht inclusiever en toegankelijker maken? Met NachtPulse krijg je financiële steun om jouw idee tot leven te brengen en bij te dragen aan een levendige Nijmeegse nacht. De eerste aanvraagronde in 2025 van NachtPulse is inmiddels gesloten. Vanaf maandag 2 februari 2026 kan er weer aangevraagd worden.

For whom

NachtPulse is for everyone active in Nijmegen's night culture: starting and emerging makers, young initiatives, organizations and venues. Whether you are organizing your first club night, want to start an experimental art project or build a new community: if your plan adds something new or special to what is already there, we warmly invite you to join.

Within NightPulse, there are two schemes:

• Make the Night (For creators and new initiatives)
  The maximum amount you can apply for as a creator or initiative is €3,000, including VAT.
• Offer the stage (For organizations and venues)
  The maximum amount you can apply for as an organization or venue within night culture is € 2,000, including VAT.

Please note that with 'Offer the stage' you are requesting an amount to cover any shortfall if ticket sales or income are lower than expected. Different from 'Make the Night', where you apply for budget to carry out a project. Read a detailed explanation of the schemes below.

The two schemes cannot be combined. So if a creator or initiative receives NightPulse, the venue or organization where the program takes place cannot apply for NightPulse again for the same project, and vice versa.

NachtPulse spreekuur

Nieuwsgierig en wil je meer weten over NachtPulse, of hoe het doen van een aanvraag in zijn werk gaat? Dan is het spreekuur op 14 november hét moment om je vragen te stellen en twijfels te bespreken. NachtPulse-coördinator Maike Pijnappel kan je alles over de regeling vertellen en denkt graag met je mee.

Game Rules

• The plan should be an addition to the Nijmegen night (culture).
• The event or final product must be publicly accessible or available.
• The plan cannot be implemented (in this way) without support from NightPulse.
• Het project vindt niet plaats tijdens de Nijmeegse Vierdaagsefeesten.
• Je aanvraag moet minimaal 6 weken voor het startmoment van het project ingediend zijn. Het startmoment is wanneer je werkzaamheden of kosten gaat maken/uitvoeren die je in je projectplan en/of begroting hebt beschreven.
• The project is not supported by any other funds or schemes of the Municipality of Nijmegen or Cultuur Academy .

How do I apply for Night Pulse?

NachtPulse vraag je aan via onderstaand online aanvraagformulier. Er zijn twee verschillende formulieren waarbij het onderscheid ligt op makers & initiatieven (Maak de nacht) en locaties & organisaties (Bied een podium). Let op, je moet een aantal documenten (o.a. begroting & trackrecord) uploaden. Zorg dat je deze klaar hebt staan om bij je aanvraag in te dienen. Liever je plan pitchen? Dat kan ook. Review

NightPulse is coordinated by Maike Pijnappel. She reviews each request first and contacts you if something is missing or unclear. Do you have questions or doubts beforehand? Email Maike at nachtpulse@cultuuracademy.nl or call 06 36277689 during telephone consultation hours on Tuesdays between 2:00 and 3:00 pm.

The assessment itself is done by a pool of five independent advisors with extensive knowledge of night culture and Nijmegen. Each application that complies with the rules of the game is submitted to two advisors at random. Naturally, we pay close attention to conflicts of interest. The advisors will be announced shortly.

Making an application is not an everyday occurrence for everyone. That's why there are several ways to get you started:

Heb je vragen?
Bekijk eerst de FAQ. Staat je antwoord daar niet tussen, neem dan contact op met coördinator Maike Pijnappel. Dat kan per mail of telefonisch tijdens het spreekuur op dinsdag van 14:00 tot 15:00 uur. Let op: in de periode 20 december 2025 tot 4 januari 2026 is er geen spreekuur!

Wil je hulp bij het schrijven?
Sluit aan tijdens de schrijfsessies die we binnenkort organiseren (meer informatie volgt) of kom naar de Cultuur Academy De Maandag Club! Samen zorgen we dat je plan goed op papier komt. Óf sluit op 14 november aan bij het NachtPulse spreekuur voorafgaand aan het Nijmeegse Nachtsymposium.
