For whom

The Monday Club is intended for anyone working in the cultural sector who enjoys working in a stimulating environment surrounded by others. It’s the perfect place for cultural professionals who are looking for inspiration, new connections, or simply a shared workspace. The Monday Club also caters to people who struggle with procrastination, writing assignments, or difficult tasks. Here, you’ll find structure, motivation, and immediate support for business-related questions.

What to expect.

  • Focus and Inspiration
Work on your plans with full concentration in a pleasant work environment, with good coffee, tea, and others around you.
  • Help When You Need It
Are you stuck on something? Ask a member of Cultuur Academy directly about any business, organizational, or other questions you may have.
  • Useful tools and a valuable network
Browse *Het Grote Fondsenboek*, share your experiences with others in the field, and expand your network. If we can’t help you ourselves, we’ll be happy to put you in touch with someone who can.

During the Monday Club, a member of the Cultuur Academy is always available between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to answer quick questions and brainstorm with you. Useful tools, including *Het Grote Fondsenboek*, are also at your disposal.

How do you participate?

You’re free to come by once, occasionally, or every week. You decide how long you stay and what you need that particular week. If you’d like to come more often, you can also purchase a punch card for 5 Monday Club sessions. It costs €10.00 (which means you get one session for free).

For example, our grant coordinator will be available on September 14 and November 16 to answer questions about grants and funding (and specifically about our grants Stroomversneller, Groeispurt and NachtPulse), and on “Accounting Monday” on October 12, you can meet with Hans Reijs from ENTR. Finance!

About Hans Reijs
Hans is the kind of guy you wouldn’t pick out on the street as a typical accountant. But make no mistake: behind that cheerful demeanor lies an extremely meticulous professional who is passionate about supporting the cultural sector. He’ll help you with your VAT return and income tax, and work with you to identify tax schemes and deductions that benefit you as an artist or creative professional, such as the starter deduction or the small business scheme. No idea where to start with your bookkeeping, registering with the Chamber of Commerce, or what expenses you’re allowed to claim? Come to De Maandag Club for personalized advice over a cup of coffee and a smile. Tax advice normally costs around €125 per hour, but at “Bookkeeping Monday,” you only pay the Monday Club entrance fee of €2.50. Please note that space is limited so you’ll have plenty of time to talk with Hans. Sign up below for a half-hour session with Hans, and our office manager will contact you to let you know what time you’re expected!
