About Cultuur Academy
Cultuur Academy learning and professional development a natural part of working in the cultural sector. Based in Arnhem and Nijmegen, we are building a strong, agile, and connected cultural region. We invest in the people behind art and culture—creators, producers, and other professionals—so that the entire sector can grow.
How do we do this?
We offer training sessions, workshops, and gatherings focused on the business, organizational, and personal aspects of the profession. We don’t focus on artistic content, but rather on everything needed to work effectively in practice: from project planning and financing to collaboration and current issues in the sector. Our programs bring people together, encourage the exchange of knowledge, and make professional development something you do together, not alone.
Why We Exist
Cultuur Academy founded through a collaboration between Schakel025 (Arnhem) and Cultuur Academy Nijmegen). Both organizations shared the same mission: to invest in the people behind art and culture. Since 2023, we have been a single foundation, enabling us to work more effectively toward a future-proof cultural sector in the Arnhem–Nijmegen region.
