Groeispurt

De Groeispurt is een Nijmeegse subsidieregeling voor jonge makers, kunstenaars en artiesten. De regeling stimuleert nieuwe ideeën en initiatieven. We willen jong talent vooruit helpen, zonder onnodige beperkingen en verplichtingen. Het gaat om een flexibele en snelle manier van steun om nieuwe ontwikkelingen aan te moedigen. Met de Groeispurt geven we jonge makers een extra steuntje in de rug en kunnen we de kunst en cultuur in Nijmegen nog meer laten bloeien. Wil je meer weten over Fondsen & Subsidies? We behandelen de aanvragen in volgorde van binnenkomst, in drie periodes. Het budget wordt evenredig over de periodes verdeeld, het kan dus zijn dat het budget voor afloop van de periode op is. In dat geval moet je (aan het begin van) een nieuwe periode een nieuwe aanvraag indienen.

In 2024 kan er in drie periodes worden aangevraagd:

Periode 1:
indienen vanaf 08-01-2024 t/m 07-04-2024

Periode 2:
indienen vanaf 08-04-2024 t/m 01-09-2024

Periode 3:
indienen vanaf 02-09-2024 t/m 31-12-2024

How can I apply?

Tof dat je geïnteresseerd bent in een aanvraag bij de Groeispurt, lees de tips & tricks hieronder goed door! Als je vragen hebt dan ben je welkom om ons te mailen, bellen of een keer langs te komen bij de Maandag Club.

Ga je een aanvraag indienen? Bekijk dan eerst de criteria en het voorbeeld aanvraagformulier zodat je weet op welke vragen we een antwoord verwachten. Hieronder geven we daarnaast nog wat handvaten bij het invullen van het aanvraagformulier, toegespitst per discipline. Door hier goed op te letten krijgen wij een zo goed mogelijk beeld van jou als maker en datgene dat je wil gaan doen en waarom. Succes!

Culture scout & advisors

The Groeispurt is run by Moniek Klabbers. She has been working as a Culture Scout for the city of Nijmegen since the end of 2020, taking the Groeispurt under her wing. As a cultural freelancer, Moniek has worked for many different organizations in recent years and thus gained a lot of experience with the various sides of cultural Nijmegen. Because of her extensive experience, she is well acquainted with the cultural sector and has a large network. She also tries to support young creators in other areas.

The Culture Scout does not judge the applications alone. For each discipline there is an advisor who looks at the artistic quality of your application and the development you have in mind as a maker. The advisors all have a considerable amount of knowledge and work experience and have extensive cultural networks in Nijmegen and beyond.

Application process Groeispurt

1) Lees de criteria goed door.

  • Does your project meet the criteria? Then you can proceed to step 2.

2) Start your application

3) Which way do you want to apply?

  • By filling out the application form as completely as possible
  • By creating a project plan in which you answer our questions
  • By doing a pitch with one of our advisors, this is a question-answer interview in which you answer the questions in the form and explain your project.

4) Make the application

  • Fill out the application form
    • If you wish to pitch, please describe in +/- 100 words why the project fits the Groeispurt and attach it. In the application form, you may refer to "pitch" in the response fields. We will then contact you to schedule a pitch.
    • If you have created a project plan, you can put a brief summary at the answer boxes and refer to your project plan.
  • Upload the documents
    • Budget
    • CV and/or portfolio
    • Printout bank showing name account holder an account number (everything else may be made unreadable)

5) Check your mail

  • Do you receive a copy of your application form in your mailbox within 1 hour? Then everything went well and your application is being processed. If not, please contact us.

6) Your application is in process!

  • We aim to respond within 4 weeks.
  • We review the application with our consultants on all criteria and look at the totality of the project and whether it aligns with Groeispurt's core values.
    • We may then have additional questions. In that case, you will be given a one-time opportunity to provide an addition to your application. We will let you know by e-mail, including a time indication in which we would like to receive the requested additional information.

7) Award or rejection

  • Upon award, you will receive a letter detailing exactly what we expect from you after award.
  • In case of rejection, we try to explain as carefully as possible what the grounds are and think about where you might be able to apply for support.
  • You can also receive an award with reservations, for example if you still need to cover part of the budget with external funds/resources. In that case, we will make arrangements on how and when this will be delivered.

8) Honored and then?

  • You receive the money in your account and you can start implementing your project.
  • You will receive a logo package from us and we ask you to include our name/logo on all communications (flyers, posters, etc).
  • We would like to receive an invitation to the public moment of your project (except education projects).
  • Upon completion of your project, we ask you to fill out our evaluation form and upload an image of the project. We will then feature your project on our website and social media channels.
