
Mathieu Janssen
Mathieu Janssen, based in Nijmegen, is the artistic director of Go Short – International Short Film Festival Nijmegen. After completing his master’s degree in sociology, he turned to journalism as a freelance writer and as a producer of public debates on social issues at LUX.
Inspired by his love of film, he co-founded the screening collective Deep End Film in 2013, and in 2018, Mathieu began working at Go Short. As a driving force within the programming department, he is responsible for the competitions, serves on the selection committee, and oversees out-of-competition programs. Together with Go Short, he co-founded the international collaboration platform This Is Short.

Mathieu has Cultuur Academy as a film advisor for the Groeispurt fund. Click here for more information about the fund. In this role, he evaluates applications and mentors filmmakers.
