We’ve once again put together an inspiring fall program full of interesting workshops and training sessions focused on the professional development of cultural professionals. From emerging creators to experienced freelancers, there’s something for everyone!
Aspiring creators have until September 10 to apply for our eight-month Mentorship Program. October is packed with engaging workshops, such as burnout prevention (October 3) and self-promotion (October 8). We also offer multi-day training sessions on leadership (October 11), fundraising (October 14), and inclusive programming (October 17). For independent entrepreneurs, there’s the“How to ZZP” program, featuring workshops on setting rates (November 12), bookkeeping (November 28), and networking (December 10). We’re also focusing on making events more accessible through consultation hours and workshops. The first accessibility consultation hour will take place on September 9.
Together with the Vierdaagsefeesten, we’re once again providing creative pre-event excitement this year. Starting July 8, six artists will be staying Groeispurt the Besiendershuis under the banner of Groeispurt to capture the unique atmosphere. Their work will be on display throughout the city starting July 13!

On Thursday, September 26, we’ll be taking a closer look—on our biannual talk show“Over de Grens” —at working beyond the boundaries of your own generation. After all, what does it really mean to collaborate with someone twenty years younger than you? How do you create a program for an audience that’s much older than you? Or how do you reach an age group that uses different communication channels—and even a different language—than you do? Led by our regular host, Jelko Arts, we’ll dive into the world of intergenerational work.
