Stroomversneller and Groeispurt Get-Together in Arnhem

Are you working on an application for Groeispurt Stroomversneller? Have you already received support, or are you wondering if fund like this is fund for you? Come to the grant networking event in Arnhem on Wednesday, September 9: the perfect opportunity to get to know Cultuur Academy, the grant programs, and other creators who are at the same stage as you in an informal setting.

Whether you already have plans to apply, are still exploring your options, or are simply curious about how others are approaching this: this gathering is for you. You’ll meet other creators, the Cultuur Academy team, the coordinator, and the fund advisors. Two creators will also briefly talk about their projects and how the support has helped them move forward. In addition, we’ll briefly discuss a current topic. This edition focuses on the various programs available to help creators get a financial leg up.

No registration is required. Feel free to drop by, ask questions, share your plans, and discover how we can support you in your development as a professional creator.

Program

At each get-together, a grant recipient will briefly tell us about the project for which they received funding. Of course, we’ll also get to see or hear something about the final result. If you’d like to share something about your project or your creative process, or if you’d like to present something to the other participants, please let us know!

In addition, in this issue we’ll be discussing financial support programs for creators. The cultural sector is full of opportunities to fund your work, develop your skills, or strengthen your position, but it’s often hard to get a clear picture of what’s available. What are you eligible for? What’s required of you? And how do you go about it?

Platform ACCT, the Platform for the Future of the Cultural and Creative Labor Market, is working to strengthen the labor market position of everyone working in the cultural and creative sector. During the networking event, they’ll walk us through programs such as Werktuig PPO (a budget for professional development) and Oog voor Impuls, and explain how these contribute to better opportunities for creators in the sector.

The funds

Stroomversneller (Arnhem), Groeispurt (Nijmegen) are grant programs for emerging creators, artists, and performers. These programs encourage innovative ideas and initiatives, and offer flexible support without unnecessary restrictions or obligations. The focus is on a modest yet quick and flexible form of support to encourage new developments, with room for experimentation—and your growth as a creator is the top priority!
