At Cultuur Academy , we Cultuur Academy that a strong cultural sector starts with strong creators, organizations, and collaborations. That’s why we develop training programs, workshops, knowledge resources, advice, and funding opportunities for cultural professionals in the Arnhem and Nijmegen region. Not about creating art itself, but about everything that goes into it: from funding and entrepreneurship to marketing, governance, leadership, and social safety. We work together with creators, festivals, venues, museums, government agencies, and cultural organizations to build a sector where people can continue to grow and where there is room for new ideas, diverse perspectives, and talent.
Starting this fall, we are looking for a Marketing & Communications Coordinator (24 hours).
Here's what you'll be doing
As Marketing & Communications Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for Cultuur Academy’s visibility and positioning. You’ll help shape the organization’s direction and translate that into clear communication and effective campaigns. You’ll work in a small team where the marketing team is involved from the very first idea. You’ll easily switch between strategy and execution, work closely with a freelance online marketer who supports you in the execution, and enjoy rolling up your sleeves and getting hands-on.
Your responsibilities will include, among other things:
- developing and coordinating marketing and communications policies;
- communication regarding training sessions, projects, and funding
- coordinating the ongoing development of the knowledge base;
- website, newsletters, social media, and other communication channels;
- managing external parties, such as designers, web developers, and photographers;
- maintaining and further developing our corporate identity;
- designing audience and impact research and translating insights into improvements;
- contributing ideas on the future development of Cultuur Academy.

Here's what we offer you
- a 24-hour-per-week position (0.63 FTE);
- a salary ranging from €3,085.90 to €4,495.57 gross per month (based on a 38-hour workweek, depending on experience);
- a pension contribution of 8%;
- a workplace in Arnhem (Tuesdays) and Nijmegen (Thursdays), with the option to work partly from home;
- a training budget and free participation in Cultuur Academy’s training sessions and workshops;
- plenty of room for initiative, ideas, and responsibility;
- a small, dedicated team with short lines of communication;
- travel and expense reimbursement.
