Patricia van Deutekom

After graduating from ArtEZ in 2005, Patricia became a regular dancer with Jens van Daele | Burning Bridges, performing in more than 20 national and international productions—including as a co-choreographer and rehearsal director. She played one of the leading roles in the dance film *Naar Huis* (2018) and danced in Krisztina de Châtel’s *Scala* in 2022.

In 2021, she founded her own company: VANDEUTEKOM Collective. There, she created works including *Furia*, *Mist*, *étude des hommes*, and *La Despedida* —for which she was nominated for the Zwaan Award for Most Impressive Dance Performance in 2023. She also created Unman for Conny Janssen Danst, and in the 2025/2026 season she is working on INSTINCT, a co-creation with Conny Janssen.

In addition to her work as a choreographer and dancer, Van Deutekom teaches at institutions such as Codarts, Fontys, and ArtEZ, and serves as a freelance instructor on the Talent Development and Education team at the Nederlands Dans Theater.
