Lenneke van der Goot
Lenneke van der Goot lives and works in Arnhem. She studied at the Utrecht School of the Arts, where she earned a Bachelor of Education in Visual Art and Design and a Bachelor of Fine Art. Since then, she has exhibited her work both in the Netherlands and abroad at galleries, art fairs, museums, and project spaces.
Her work focuses primarily on drawing and site-specific pieces such as murals and installations. “In my drawings, I try to suggest spaces that are accessible but offer no solid ground. This gives rise to worlds that often unite chaotic and constructive elements. I combine various techniques such as lithography, collage, and ink in layered works. Contrasts and dualities are characteristic of my drawings, which are sometimes black-and-white, and at other times colorful and vibrant.” In addition to her drawing practice, Lenneke is also a teacher and serves as a (visiting) lecturer in Drawing and Painting at Artez University of the Arts (DBKV).
