Jonas de Witte

Jonas de Witte is the inspiration behind Studio Beeldontwerp and works as an art director, filmmaker, and theater maker. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and continued his studies at the Design Academy in Eindhoven. In Amsterdam, he studied Digital Video Directing alongside his projects. He focuses on concept development, art direction, and the realization of projects. Jonas works with a clear visual language, an eye for detail and identity, and realizes both commissioned projects and autonomous initiatives. He also collaborates with Hanneke de Jong under the name DeJong&DeWitte; as artistic leaders, they distinguish themselves through their exceptional narrative and visual language. They bring their disciplines in the arts, design, music, film, and live performance together to create directed public experiences. These productions can be seen at many Dutch festivals and theaters and at various festivals abroad.

Since 2017, Jonas de Witte has been chairman of Gelders DOEK, the platform for cinema in the region. In 2022, Jonas took the initiative to organize Film Week Arnhem and the exhibition Façade Rembrandt Theater, which was on display at Focus Filmtheater.
