About Ilse

As a theater maker, artist, and performance designer, I create performances, experiences, and interventions that encourage change, research, meaning-making, and reflection on social issues. I do this in performances that I create with my own company, Compagnie Perelman, and as a director and creator on commission. I also do this as a program maker at Arthouse LUX and as an independent designer with (social) organizations and parties. Based on my artistic background, I believe in the value of art for transformation. After drama school (2007), I completed the Master's program in Cross-Over Creativity at the HKU (2022), which allowed me to develop a professional perspective on transdisciplinary collaborations and stakeholder involvement in complex issues. I always approach these from an artistic perspective.
