Fenne Saedt
Fenne Saedt works as a freelance curator, editor, and consultant in the field of contemporary art. In 2018, she opened RUIS, an exhibition space for contemporary art dedicated to experimentation and the development of emerging artists, with a focus on regional talent. Since then, she has served as the artistic director of this art space in Nijmegen, where she curates exhibitions in close collaboration with artists.
Her network and work span the entire country, but she is firmly rooted in Gelderland. For example, she works as a curator at the exhibition venue POST in Nijmegen and Arnhem, and as a columnist and curator at Omstand in Arnhem. In 2023, she received the Culture Award from the City of Nijmegen.
Saedt enjoys working with artists because of their ability to view the world from a different perspective and to make both urgent and everyday themes relatable and open to discussion. Driven by this interest, she delves into the stories behind works of art and translates them for a broader audience. Would you like advice on a project you’re stuck on, funding opportunities, or expanding your network? Then she’s the person to turn to!
