Umbrella industry organizations
In the Netherlands, we have two major unions related to the cultural sector. These are the Kunstenbond and CNV Kunst en Cultuur. These are unions for employees, freelancers, small self-employed, starters and retirees in virtually the entire arts and culture sector. They know everything about the developments taking place in the cultural sector, they influence politics, and they look after the collective interests through collective bargaining agreements. Specific advocacy and industry associations
Many of the advocacy groups, branch organizations, professional organizations and associations listed below are in turn affiliated with Kunsten '92. - Artists Interests Center (ABC) The ABC was created to solve bottlenecks in the field of professional artists and musicians both among themselves and at the national policy level.
- Nederlandse Associatie voor Podiumkunsten (NAPK) The NAPK functions, among other things, as an employers' organization and concludes collective agreements with the trade unions on behalf of the sector. It is also in frequent dialogue with (local) politics.
- Platform for Freelance Musicians (PvFM) The PvFM strives for better wages and working conditions, more solidarity in the cultural sector and greater support in society.
- The Pop Coalition The Pop Coalition is leading the conversation with government and science to achieve targeted investments in preconditions for knowledge development and innovation, among other things.
Fine art
- BBK This is the Professional Association of Visual Artists. They can mediate in conflicts and there is a consultancy for legal assistance attached.
- BNO This is the trade association for Dutch designers and design firms. The organization advises on business issues and organizes seminars, master classes and events, among other things.
- Boknet This is a professional organization for professional and self-employed artists. Entrepreneurship support is provided and members have access to a legal help desk.
- Dupho (Dutch Photographers) The organization advises and represents professional photographers in legal, business and creative areas.
- Visual Arts Platform This is a network of individuals, interest groups, art schools, museums, presentation institutions, blogs, newspapers, magazines and others.

- Dutch Association of Cinema Editors (NCE) It organizes meetings between editors from home and abroad and focuses on the craft and content of film editing.

- BRAM They are dedicated to the professionalization of the field and representing the interests of paid tour guides, museum docents and actors.

- VERS, New Film and Television Creators VERS is a platform and networking association that focuses on new image makers with theme nights, parties and the annual the VERS awards.
