Experience Stroomversneller: Telder - Between Words

Telder received the Stroomversneller for the Between Words project. Meanwhile, a grant has also been received from the Province of Gelderland so that the idea can be further developed into an interactive performance. Paula Walta (artistic director): "Without the contribution from Stroomversneller , it would never have come this far."

Paula tells us what the grant from Stroomversneller has meant.

"The Stroomversneller has been a stick to stay with my creativity, to prefer experimentation to the end result. I have been a maker for a long time, experienced and specialized in making performances in public spaces. The disadvantage of being a maker for a long time is that you are always confirmed in the same successes. People see something, react positively, and clients then ask you for pretty much the same thing. The temptation to then do the same thing is very great (and sometimes a basis of existence), and everyone is happy.
And our world, driven by money and results, also finds this a very fine way to deal with art and culture; Guaranteed quality!

But this is not art, art is slowly becoming an art. For a creator, the art is to stay with the play, the fun, the effort, the creativity, the surprise. The Stroomversneller allowed me to do this; to play with colleagues (and the audience), without the result having to meet "performance requirements. What a relief and liberation! This is about the essence of creating; we ourselves do not know where we will end up. And the audience contributes and witnesses this process.

And to be continued: next season we experiment further and the result of this will be experienced in several places next year."
