Workshop - Know Your Audience

Get insight into who your audience might really be and make sure your work or offering reaches the right people.

You or your organization offers something special: an event, a work of art, a performance, or simply your unique self. But how do you make sure your offering reaches the right people? Where is your audience, and how do you make that connection?

The key lies in understanding who your ideal audience is. Who are the people who need what you have to offer? And why would they choose you specifically? This interactive workshop will give you the tools and insights to sharply map out your audience and reach them with what you or your organization has to offer.

For whom

This workshop is for anyone in the cultural sector who wants to understand their target audience. From creators who want to understand who might appreciate their work and why, freelancers who want to focus on the right collaborations to employees of organizations who want to discover which audiences fit their offerings.

After the workshop:

  • Can you formulate exactly who your audience is;
  • Understand what drives and needs your audience;
  • Have you been able to formulate several new interesting audiences.

Program

During this workshop we start at your core: who are you and what do you have to offer the world? Starting from your unique value proposition, we examine who your ideal audience is. Who are the people who could appreciate your work or services and are willing to invest in them?

Through interactive assignments and inspiring insights we analyze your organization or practice. Together we will discover how to reach your audience and what strategies are appropriate. Note: this workshop does not focus on marketing yet, but prepares you for the next step. See the Marketing for makers workshop for this.
